(BEIJING, March 13) -- President of the International Cycling Union (UCI) Patrick Mcquaid held talks with Executive Vice-President of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) Yang Sh'an on the preparations for the Olympic cycling events in Beijing on Tuesday.

The management team of BOCOG Sport Department updated the guests on the progress of the preparations and the two sides discussed a number of issues concerning major sport events scheduled for 2007.

They include: the use of the roads of Badaling Expressway during the Olympic cycling events, the decision on the events and invitation scope of the International Mountain Bike Cycling Invitational Tournament under the 2007 "Good Luck Beijing" competition program, the category and timeline of the International Track Cycling Invitational Tournament, and the category and letter of intension related to the BMX International Invitational Tournament.

On Wednesday the UCI group will tour a number of venues such as Laoshan Velodrome and the BMX field to know their conditions.
