The first round of the elite men's time trials qualification of the 2007 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup ended today with Mike Day and Kyle Bennett of the United States placing first and second with 36.543secs. and 36.710secs respectively.

Judging by the results, a rider who wants to enter the second day's race must finish within 39 seconds. In the first round, the gaps between those who ranked high in the group were very small, while those who ranked at the bottom finished with a time 30 seconds slower than the top finisher.

The second round will be decisive for the riders for their qualification for the semifinals.
