The elite men's time trials qualification of the "Good Luck Beijing" UCI BMX Supercross World Cup ended on the afternoon of August 20. Many riders improved their performance afte two runs, with three American riders making a cleaning sweep of the top three places in two-run totals.

In the second round of the qualification, those who had already qualified did not go all out in the race in order to save energy, while the others, who had failed to do well on their first run, spared no efforts on achieving a better result. Although the best result of 36.534secs was not rewritten, the average result was improved significantly.

Among the 32 berths for the semifinals the United States occupies 8, Europe 18 and Australia 3. Colombia, New Zealand and Venezuela hold one berth each, while no Asian riders qualified.
