In the second day of competition of the 2007 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup, Shanaze Reade of the UK claimed the title in the elite women's final with a result of 36.923secs, beating French rider Anne-Caroline Chausson and her teammate Laetitia le Corguille into second and third places respectively.

"I'm so happy to win the championship and I'm satisfied with my performance in the final. I tried to make a good start and did well every loop later." Reade said after the race.

Ranking third in the semifinals, Raede, titlist of the World Championships, admitted she became more concentrated in the final and focused on the arrangement of the time and her strength during the competition.

When asked how she felt about competing in Beijing on this newly-built Olympic track, she answered, "perfect!"
