The organizing committee of the "Good Luck Beijng" 2007 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup held a press conference on August 14 to brief the media on the preparations for the upcoming event.

On August 20-21, the newly-constructed Laoshan BMX Venue will host its maiden international event – "Good Luck Beijng" 2007 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup - as a test event for the 2008 Olympic Games.

It is the first time in the history of the Olympic Games that the BMX is part of the Olympic sports program. The Laoshan Venue turns out to be the first standard Olympic BMX venue in the world.
